Hello John Wesley members and friends,
I was thinking about II Corinthians 10:3-4 given the events that occurred on January 6th, a day that will always be sadly remembered. You probably wouldn’t be shocked to know that some of the persons participating in the insurrection were people who call themselves Christians. These persons forgot the words Paul recorded in II Corinthians 10:3-4, verses which make it clear that our weapons should never be the weapons of this world but instead should be spiritual weapons like prayer and fasting that have the power to demolish strongholds. Christians must never allow our personal and political views to supersede our commitment to honoring our Lord and Savior, we must remember that God is a jealous God demanding our complete devotion. There is no time like the present to renew your singular devotion to our loving, merciful and gracious Creator and Sustainer.
